a few days of partial freedom and the realisation that the end of my A levels will most likely not feel as liberating as i had expected and would probably be rather anti climatic. the humans people literally cheered and screamed at the end of their paper some time on Tuesday but i think come Tuesday there wouldn't be that much excitement, at least not for me. its this gradual release, humans people have their papers packed together and finally at the end of a long paper they are suddenly released from work, like a shaken bottle of soda that is suddenly opened. of course it explodes. while for science peeps, we have one whole week before 2mcq papers that are deemed relatively less important and unstudyable, so we are already allowed to start slacking and thinking that the most trying period is over. but we don't allow ourselves to feel the exuberance that would come with As actually being over. the result is this gradual release like a half open bottle of soda such that when it finally is opened fully, there isn't that much of a fizz left.
